This test only measures free sulphur dioxide (SO2).
The effectiveness of sulphur dioxide as a preservative also depends on the pH value, with wines with a low pH value
lower concentrations and high pH wines require significantly higher concentrations to achieve the same efficacy as a typical wine with a pH of 3.3 - 3.4.
The Accuvin Free SO2 test kit contains tests for both the low range (0-40 ppm) and the high range (40-130 ppm).
Each test kit contains all the necessary material for 2 x analyses in the high range and 8 x analyses in the low range. (test tubes, tubes with rehydration solution and sampler)
