Filling and labelling magnum bottles and large bottles

Magnum bottles and large bottles such as Jeroboam, Methuselah, Salmanazar etc. are very popular and in demand. They are popular as gifts and can be 'that certain something' at a party.
But how can such bottles be filled, corked and labelled? They definitely no longer fit into the filling line for standard bottles, that much is certain. To make matters worse, there is no such thing as 'the' large bottle, but countless bottle shapes with very different neck finishes.
We recommend a simple siphon filler for filling.
Corking can be done with a RAPID 56 or RAPID 58 corker. The cork lock and the centring tulip are selected to fit the neck finish of your bottle. If the inside diameter of the neck finish is larger than 16 mm, thicker corks than the standard corks are required.
We have recently added a labelling device for magnum bottles to our range. For larger bottles, we recommend the good old fish paste or a self-adhesive label that you print yourself.
Sealing wax is often used for finishing. Capsules for large bottles are not easy to find. There are also special 'trempier' devices to dip the heavy bottles upside down into the sealing wax bath. We are happy to provide information.
