The Atago PAL refractometer is a very light and compact refractometer for outdoor and indoor applications.
The fast performance of the PAL is amazing. Simply place the sample on the prism surface and press the START button.
The Oechsle or Brix value is displayed after just 3 seconds. With its digital LCD display, other people can see the measured value,
without the risk of subjective misreadings/interpretations of the results (unlike analogue refractometers).
The quick and easy automatic calibration is also carried out in seconds using a few drops of water and pressing the ZERO button.
Adjustment using a screwdriver, as with analogue refractometers, is no longer necessary.
