Digital IR pocket Brix meter for non-destructive measurement of the Brix content in apples.
Simple measurement through contact with the surface of the apple. The sugar content (10 - 18% Brix) can be measured without cutting or squeezing using infrared measurement technology.
The fruit is simply placed on the sample area and the value is read. An additional button on the side of the device also allows measurements to be taken with one hand while the fruit is still on the tree.
The protective foam ring on the PAL-HIKARi enables safe surface contact with fruit. Regardless of the shape of the fruit, the PAL-HIKARi adapts and prevents measurement differences caused by external light interference.
For a meaningful value, the apple should be measured at three different points and the average value determined.
